Description
Experience a revitalizing and crisp beverage that prioritizes wellness without sacrificing the classic, zesty punch of traditional lemonade. By substituting refined sugars with raw honey and using fresh, organic lemons, this refreshing drink highlights the complex, vibrant notes of citrus. Perfectly balanced for optimal hydration, this simple recipe avoids artificial additives, making it the superior choice for a natural, nutrient-dense thirst quencher on a hot afternoon.
Ingredients
6 large organic lemons
6 cups filtered water
1/2 cup raw honey
4 sprigs fresh mint (optional for garnish)
Ice cubes for serving
Instructions
Wash the lemons thoroughly and slice them in half crosswise.
Juice the lemons using a manual press until you have 1 cup of juice.
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and raw honey.
Whisk the mixture until the honey is completely dissolved.
Gradually stir in the filtered water until well combined.
Add ice cubes to individual glasses to prevent dilution.
Pour the lemonade into prepared glasses.
Garnish each serving with a sprig of fresh mint and serve immediately.
Notes
Roll lemons firmly on the countertop before juicing to release more natural oils. Use room temperature lemons for easier extraction. If raw honey is unavailable, pure maple syrup is an excellent plant-based alternative.
